PFC Lunch-Time Farmers Market Program is designed to provide support to organizations to enhance or expand their health eating goals for students, participating adults, training and apprenticeship programs for beginning farmers, and farmworker training or summer internship workforce programs. The overall goal of the program is to ensure that viable resources are dedicated to strengthening support for socially disadvantaged youth, youth farmers and future ranchers. In striving to improve the quality of life, the first ten years of healthy eating and learning (beginning farmers), sets each student on a path of success. PFC Lunch-Time Farmers Market Program, provides access to needed agricultural skills, enhances ones ability to sustain a job by way of understanding and over coming eating challenges. These challenges effect the youths ability work and maintain the proper energy needed for a part or full-time job. A secondary goal of the program is to build and grow each education sites garden to ensure organizations can provide adequate support and training opportunities for those most underserved in the education system. Customizing a program that fits for special needs students that provides them with the environment that is reliable and dependable, giving challenged students a skill that can be used int he Agriculture Industry.
