Yolanda and Desiree shared a dream that would forever change the lives of the men, women, and children around them. Their vision was rooted in the belief that a better future was possible for everyone, especially when it came to accessing fresh and healthy foods.

Yolanda and Desiree were raised in a family where a love for the earth and a sense of community runs deep. Their parents had a mini farm in the backyard, and they often joined their parents in tending to it, learning the value of nurturing plants and working together as a family. These early experiences instilled in them a passion for agriculture and a sense of responsibility to give back to their community.

Yolanda and Desiree noticed disparities in their community. Some parents struggled to put food on the table, and the lack of access to fresh produce was a pressing issue on and off school grounds. They knew they had to do something to make a difference. Their answer came in the form of PFC Farms.

PFC Farms, short for "Pacific Fertilizer Company Farms," an organization committed to improving the lives of men, women and children of all ages. Yolanda and Desiree decided to join the team, then shifted their momentum coupled with their education background to improve PFC's outcomes related to families accessing fresh organic produce.

One of the key initiatives they participated in was setting up the farming experience through PFC social media outlets. This integration bridges the connection between how, and where to access fresh organic produce. 

Yolanda and Desiree are instrumental in conducting workshops on growing food at home. Main stream promotions help community members on how to cultivate their own gardens, regardless of their available space. These workshops empowered people with the knowledge and skills they needed to become more self-sufficient, no matter their resources.

One of the most impactful projects they are involved in are the PFC Farms Showcase Garden sites. Yolanda & Desiree showcase PFC Farms lush and thriving gardens that serve as a model for sustainable and organic farming practices.
