Outreach, Recruitment, and Strategic Partnerships
The Outreach Recruitment and Strategic Partnerships Division (ORSPD) provides streamline agriculture-based solutions to ensure all PFC Farms programs and services are made accessible to all.
Our outreach responsibilities include providing oversight for proposed program and policy development to assure equity and accessibility for all PFC Farms participants. We also work to develop policy and programs that will allow full participation by underserved individuals, groups and socially disadvantaged students including parents.
Identifying and addressing potential institutional and systemic barriers that prevent underserved communities from full participation is an important part of PFC Farms outreach model. Farmer Markets, Food cooking demonstrations, and agriculture apprenticeship training helps in developing implementation strategies to increase the participation in programs. These strategies include working with Doctor of Psychology, Educators, professional colleges and universities, maintaining effective working relationships with community-based organizations to expand partnerships and networks that serve underserved groups and individuals.
By institutionalizing outreach within all PFC Farms programs, services, and organizational levels, we increase the agency's ability to reach our target audiences.
